Health & Wellness Reimbursement Program

According to Article 24 Section 18 in the contract, “National Weather Service Health & Wellness Reimbursement Program,” allows individuals to receive up to $300 per year for their health club fees, as well as other weight loss and smoking cessation programs. This health and wellness program is open to all NWS employees and is available to you as a result of the hard work and determination of NWSEO. It is important to NWSEO to support all that you are doing to create a healthier lifestyle. In order to be eligible for this program, it is important that the correct forms be submitted to your supervisor no later than March 31, 2022. To take advantage of this health and wellness benefit, employees will need to submit the following to their supervisor:


Form A must be completed to enroll in the program and must be submitted between February 1, 2022 and March 31, 2022 to receive benefits for 2022.

Form B must be completed to receive reimbursement for the employee’s previous year’s health and wellness fees. Employees must submit Form B, Self-Certification Usage CD-326, and proof of payment for their membership/services to their supervisors no later than March 31, 2022.


Note: New NWS employees or existing employees unable to apply during the open season due to prolonged absences may apply within 14 days of returning to or entering service.
